Fireplace Match Holder

You know how ugly those fireplace match boxes can be....well not anymore!
For the base I used white cryogen ...this is the best cardstock  to used for your base....it gives you crisp fold lines and covers all the ugly stuff.....I've also used Black Ruche and Gold Metallic....on the white part of the letter I used White Lustre...
The ribbon is 5/8 Black & White Stripes Grosgrain....and little bling.....

This is the back of the box showing the sticking pad for the match....I hope you like this and give it a try for yourself....or as a gift for someone special.....

Paper Cupcake Challenge

This week challenge at Paper Cupcakes/TMITA , hosted by Tammylee....and she has challenge us to "Layers X6"....I've used Magnolia Flower Cupcake by Nina May...colored it with my copics markers....
How I did this....I first download the image.....I work with MicroSoft Word....printed it....then ran it back thru my printer again, but this time I move my image over .....I did this four times....I'm sure there is an easier way to do this....but this works for me.....
Then I color them....cut them out....and started my layering process.... I used K & Company DP...and recollection cardstock.......the corner cuts are from Lacy Labels cartridge .....which I cut off just what I wanted to use.....the ribbon is bias tape I got at an estate sale....sprinkle Martha Stewart glitter in the center of my flower..... done!!!!
You can see here all the layers.....including the card, I've at least counted 8 layers....I hope it's OK to go over the 6 limit......
I hope you will get inspire to come on over and play with us.....Remember Nina May always gives you an image to play with.....

I would also like to thank all of you who come here to visit with me and see my creations.....your comments really.....really.....touch my heart.....and I thank you so very much!!!!!!!!

When I first saw this "Where Bloggers Create 2010",  I knew it was something I wanted to be part of .......I was inspire by a beautiful and talented lady....Abby from Abbys Garden....My space is nothing like hers but it is comforting and organize enough for me....I have everything at my finger tips.....So please come in and stay awhile with me.....look around and I hope their is something here that you might want to do....or have not thought of doing.....
This is what you see when you first walk thru the door......The cedar chest I use to put all my Christmas stamping stuff in and my grandchildren sit on while I create .....there is a roll top chest to the left of the cedar chest that I put all my sewing materials in ......I also have a big tub of materials upstairs that I also pull from when I need too...The white chest behind my desk holds all my DP......I keep all my solid color card stock in my desk drawer in filing holders.....And on top I have my cutting tool, score board and my cuttlebug.......And on top of a little shelf are some of my Cricut Cartridges.... Did you see my pok-a-dots on my walls....
The turn around holds some of pens and paint brushes and spray stains and glue....

Here you can see all my ribbons in the corner ...well some of them.......
The large cabinet holds supplies that I don't need everyday and on top is my radio and camera bag.....the table to right holds my light box , sewing machine and cinch machine.....and of course my mannequin dress in a German lace apron......

Arms of Jesus

We all regret in making sympathy cards, I know I do....but this one had to be special.....my best friend brother-in-law die with a heart attack ......

I used Crafty Secrets - Classic DP, Gina K-Spring Florals stamp, and my Cricut for the postage frame and dove.....The ribbon is binding I had in my stash....The flower and leaves I made cut out from my Cricut using Mothers Day Bouquet  cartridge....the lace I spray with Lindys Stamp Gang-Mission Bells Brown...the half pearls are from Michaels....
The inside I stamp with Creative Clear Stamp-Arms of Jesus.....prima flower and pear
I also made the envelope....I used just a regular cardstock which was to short....so I added a 2 1/2 piece of DP to give me the length I needed and used a MS punch...
I'm entering this in the Peachy Keen challenge.....
Thank you for looking and I appreciate your comments...

Wedding Gift/Candy Boxes

These are candy or gift box....I used vellum for the cover. For added touch I used my brass stencils and emboss my initials with some swirls around it and then added half pearls....
I used reg. 12 x 12 stock card to make the box and then cover each side with white leather which gave it a real leather  chair feel....the heart is cut out using bronze card stock which has a shimmer to it.....the ribbon is 5/8 white satin trim with silver...and a feather ....The total  measurement is  2 x5 which is a prefect size to sit beside a place settings.....

Here you can see the top off and I've filled the box with wintergreen mints... The white leather card stock is my favorite....it really does feel and look just like leather.....and the vellum is so easy to work with....this was my first time using it and I love....If you have that special project and you want the best...than this card stock is what you need......and don't forget to check the ribbons....they are gorgeous....
