This week challenge at Paper Cupcakes/TMITA is hosted by Suzi and the challenge is an Easel.....any easel will do.....I used Gigi on Tube image by Nina May from Paper Cupcakes ....
I used Lindy Stamp Gang starburst on the water/Hydrangea Blue and for the sky/ Yellow Rose of Texas...to give it some glimmer...
I welded the shape together using my Gypsy...
My DP is DCWV Cotton Bloom Stack, colored with copic markers....
I also pop dot the two to give some dimension ....
I wish you could see the glimmer on the water and sky....just couldn't get the angle to show it....
Thank you for looking....I really do appreciate it....

Pay It Forward
Amy over at Love To Crop posted this wonderful "Pay It Forward" post on her blog ... I think it's a WONDERFUL idea and I couldn't wait to participate and pass it on!!
"Pay It Forward" is the idea of blessing someone with a random act of kindness without expecting anything in return. It’s passing on a kindness, hoping that your recipients will do the same, and forming a never-ending chain of goodwill. But it isn’t only kindness, it is also a means to connect and share instead of just keeping it to ourselves.
"I promise to send an original creation to the (1st) 5 people who leave a comment here. They must, in turn, post this on there blog, and send something they make to the 1st 5 people who comment on their status."
Here's what you need to do:
1. Leave a comment on this post. I will send a handmade gift to the first 5 people who comment.
2. Create a post on your blog offering the same.
3. Send a handmade item to your first 5 people who comment.
4. It must be sent to your 5 people sometime in 2011.
Please do not sign up unless you are fully committed to making your 5 items!
**If you are one of the first 5 people to leave a comment on this post, PLEASE email me your mailing address (gw0109@gmail.com)... It will also be helpful if you put "PAY IT FORWARD" in the subject line. Thanks so much!! I'm excited to Pay It Forward!! :)
I hope you will play...

A Piece of Cake Anyone! For Paper Temptress DT
I am so excited and proud to be a part of the design team……with their beautiful creations and such inspiration….
This cardstock is unbelievable…..pictures do not captured the texture and the richness feel of these papers….not to mention the colors are so vivid true…..it will make any creations a masterpiece……I promise…..
I have put together a little tutorial for those that have not made a cake box…There are several places to get a cake box template …but I used my Cricut and the cartridge is Tags, Bags, Boxed, & more…..Row 5, image 5 cut at 8.50….following the guides I score all lines and applied tape…..I made my base with “Cryogen White“…. You can see some of the sparkles this paper has…truly remarkable…..
Next are all the pieces….
The flowers were also made with Cryogen White. The top of cake and leaves are made with “Light Green BASIS” and the crust is “Bronze Mica/Metallic” you can see it shine here. I ink the leaves with TH distress-walnut stain…..also for the top I used spots and dots CB folder…
The ribbon is from PaperTemptress…..5/8 Black and White Stripes grosgrain ribbon…. I love this ribbon…..so easy to work with….
Here’s the finish piece,
I hope this has inspire you to try this and to also try any of these beautiful sheets of cardstock……they are so worth it!!!!!!!!! Just pick up a few of them and you will see how wonderful they are to work with and to see how they make your project look so professional…….try it and see for yourself……
Matchbox Challenge
I made this for the "A Lil Scrap of Heaven" matchbox challenge.....my sweet partner was MJ....and of course we swap.....you'll have to join ....so go ahead and browse around and maybe even join in a swap or two....
I made all the flowers on the front and the beside the box....and the box....Cynthia our ning. group leader has a video on how to make this.....she has a lot of good stuff to show you how to make....be sure to check her videos out....
You can also see the side pockets....for the handles I just hot glue vintage buttons. The DP is DCWV...
And instead the top pocket pulling out....I decided to have the top open up....Inside of the little match booklet is stick pins I made....sorry I didn't get a pic of them....
The bottom drawer is full of vantage buttons....I also send her a box full of vintage lace.....I hope you like this and will come and join us for some really good things to make and maybe make a new friend....thank you for looking...,
I'm also entering this at ABC DT Challenge to used flowers....
